Just a spot of leopard.

I have been thinking a long time about adding just a wee bit of leopard to my decor.....this new apartment is the perfect place to make that happen. I have long loved leopard....in high school I thought I was cool carrying my Esprit leopard purse - ha! I had Ralph Lauren's Aaragon leopard sheets in college. This time around I am going for a touch of leopard in pillow format. Lucky for me I just happened to stumble across a beautiful one at a used furniture store (where I wasn't even looking for one!!!). Hooray!

Thanks for putting up with the posts about my little apartment. As you can tell it's dominating my mind! I am so sick of packing! Oh - and bad news, that perfect rug had to get sent back. It was s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g, but unfortunately what I thought was black was navy. I am bummed big time. Gotta keep looking!

A little obsessed.

All I can think about are Bertoia side chairs. They dominate my thoughts.....it's worse than a chair crush, it's chair lust. I have been stalking them on ebay daily. Yikes. Is turning 30 a justification for this purchase? Please tell me yes.

My best friend's wedding.

So I am heading up to Eagle River for my best friend's wedding tomorrow. We have been bff's since the summer after 3rd grade. As kids we spent hours planning our futures including our weddings. And now 20 years later here we are living our futures....still best friends, though much more like sisters.

I have been a very busy blogger.....

Just not blogging! I did find a sweet little apartment in Dallas with 1920's Mission style architecture and lots of natural light. I can't wait to make it my own! My Dad already transformed an antique farmhouse cabinet from craigslist into a kitchen island. It will give me plenty of extra counter space in my teeny tiny kitchen. And I have been busy packing and obsessing over things like I always do when I move. I found a beautiful antique Persian rug from an ebay store. I just can't wait to roll it out in the new place. Here was my inspiration...followed by the rug!

Taking the week off.

Because I am looking for an apartment in Dallas! That's right "y'all" I am moving to the big state of Texas. Never thought I would say those words! I am very excited about my new job and of course decorating a new place! Just hope I can find myself some liberal friends :)
