Did you see this 2009 film? I love stop animation - and this one has such a sweet story (it's a bit dark, so it isn't for real young kiddos). Maybe after your long weekend you need to relax....you can watch it now on netflix:)

Black and blush.
Forget black and blue - black and blush is so much prettier!
Have a happy weekend!
The original pairing.

I wish I could paint like this.
That's for sure. I drip some paint on paper and call it art or paint my Mom an animal or a tomato or something, but nothing good.
Yigal Ozeri's paintings are unbelievably stunning. Can you even believe it? [Whew!!!]

Vintage wedding dresses.
I spent part of last weekend with my BFF who is getting married this summer! It got me thinking about weddings and dresses (of course). Here are some pretty vintage ones for your Wednesday.

Stevie Wonder(ful)!
Best radio station on Pandora......all you need is Stevie - Pandora will do the rest. You will be groovin' all morning! We are having a dance party despite the cloudiness :)

Woo hoo Rue!
The latest issue of Rue is out! If you haven't checked it out - you should! This on-line mag is good stuff!
I heart sunshine and these paintings.
Sunshine finally decided to show up yesterday and boy was I happy! All the leaves were out and the flowers added pops of cheerfulness to a long walk on the river.
I found these beautiful paintings by Pakayla Biehn on one my favorite blogs, and thought they were a perfect pairing to Spring. Gorgeous, aren't they?
I think this is my favorite.

If I were a fashion decade....
Today I would be the 60's. Come to think of it, I would say two thirds of the days I would be the 60's. Fun, bold prints - full of life and COLOR!!! Big hair, short dresses, long dresses, lots of jewelry, a little over the top. Yup, I would be the 60's.
What fashion decade are you feeling? Whatever it is enjoy your weekend!!!

Just because.
A girl needs to day dream about a pink dress on a Thursday afternoon. Pulled this one from the back of the blog closet - it will do the trick. Plus today's earlier post isn't so exciting (sorry Tara).
(I don't know where I found this! PLEASE tell me if it's yours!!!)
Tara again.
So I thought it was time to see what one of my favorite artists, Tara Donovan is up to these days. Turns out she had a show at the Pace Gallery in New York City earlier this Spring. The work is good, but predictable (and maybe even a little boring?).
